About Me

PSYCHODYNAMIC THERAPIST & SUPERVISOR

Hi, I’m Jo Catherall, a qualified and accredited BACP therapist and BAPPS supervisor based in Brighton.

Your journey is important to me; whether it's helping you to deal with a life event that has destabilised you, providing a safe space to verbalise difficult thoughts and feelings, or enabling you to understand your behaviours and the behaviours of those around you.

As a supervisor, I work with therapists and trainees of all modalities.

I offer inclusivity and respect for diversity.

Other trainings I have undertaken include couples work accredited by the NCIP, decolonising psychoanalysis via the Guild of Psychotherapists and CBT with Heart.

About Therapy

There are many reasons for coming to therapy. Perhaps you have been effected by a life event; something you are struggling to deal with or make sense of. Or perhaps  you would like to understand yourself better and come to terms with issues from the past.
Coming from a psychodynamic background, I offer you a safe and contained space in which to explore your thoughts and feelings, notice patterns of behaviour of which you may not be aware and to understand how to move forward.
Therapy sessions, in-person or online, last for 50 minutes and cost £60, including the first session which is an opportunity for us both to find out whether we are right for each other and to agree on the outcomes of the therapy.

I supervise therapists of all modalities.
